I remember when I found this dress. My grandfather and I were at a local flea market. This was maybe 5 or so years ago. As we were heading down maybe the fourth aisle, my heart began to quicken its pace. One of the sellers was loaded down with vintage (often, I still picture this scene in my head). Dresses, top, bottoms, bags, you name it. I scooped up as many items as I could afford and paid. My head was still spinning. I wanted to empty my bank account and take it all home. Years later, I still adore this dress. From years of wear, mine and the former owner's, it is becoming slightly tattered, but I think I will probably wear it until it falls apart at the scenes.

In the spirit of the new year, I have made some resolutions. That said, resolutions can be difficult to follow through with for one reason or another. I will call them goals.
-Enjoy a more clutter/material items-free home. I have a few closets full of clothes. An afternoon of thrifting is both a suspenseful treasure hunt and a relaxing time for me. I have acquired many things. Some of the things have seen only the dark of my closet. It is time to part ways. And so, if one thing comes in, two go out. Not just that though. I have already, without even bringing things in, been taking many a bag to the local thrift store.
-Really adore the clothes/accessories/books/cds that I have. Rid myself of more to take pleasure in less.
-There are a few other ideas floating about in my head. For fear of sounding like the masses, healthier living - exercise, eating right, the usuals.
And so in the spirit of less is more, I would like to give this bag a good home. For a little while, what now seems like years ago, I carried it everywhere. The leather is slightly worn but the colors and design are beautiful. If you are interested, send me a note.

Christmas has come and gone but what a lovely one I had this year!
My beau and I spent our first Christmas Eve and Christmas Day together. We cooked, decorated, listened to records and drank hot chocolate. It was really quite fabulous.
I do not have to work the week of New Year's and am looking forward to it very much.
Happy holidays~
